This programme provides more than 6,000 meals per week to more than 300 children.

 

Purpose: To provide nutritious food to children so that they can grow up healthy and perform well in school. Our focus is to help all children, from infant (six months) to young adults (age 22). We also cater to the community and HIV/AIDS infected/affected people. We also grow some of our own produce, using the opportunity to teach basic farming skills to others  and build a sense of pride in the in the communityfood2.jpg.

 

Objectives:

  • To provide nutritious breakfast, lunch packs and dinner to children
  • Through improved nutrition, improve every child’s physical development and mental development
  • Teach proper nutrition
  • Monitor and report monthly on each child’s progress
  • To provide special nutrition to HIV/AIDS infected/affected children

 

Outcomes:

  • Improved attention span of students
  • Improved self confidence in children
  • Less time on the “streets”
  • Reversing the cycle of poverty and illiteracy
